Samsung Generate USD 35.6 bln in Q3

Jakarta - Samsung Electronics carve a pretty good sales during the third quarter 2010. South Korean electronics giant posted a consolidated sales of 40 trillion won or about USD 35.68 billion.

This achievement was soaring a few digits from the same period in previous year which 'only' scored 35.89 trillion won, equivalent to USD 32 billion.

While the consolidation of Samsung's operating profit was in figure 4.8 trillion won, or about $ 4.3 billion, up from 4.22 trillion won last year's results achieved.

In a written statement received detikINET, Saturday (10/09/2010), during the year 2009, Samsung managed to reap sales reached USD 116.8 billion.

Employing approximately 188,000 employees in 185 offices in 65 countries, a company synonymous with the color blue has eight main business units: visual displays, mobile communications, telecommunications systems, digital appliances, IT solutions, digital imaging, semiconductor and LCD.
